Launched in 2001, The Love Letter Collection is an ongoing, edited
collection of anonymous love letters. You can submit a letter to
the collection using our anonymous form
(if the list of letters doesn't appear to the left, click here).

Our new collection is currently being edited by Stacy Szymaszek.
Stacy was born
in Milwaukee, WI, in 1969. Chapbooks include Mutual Aid (gong,
2004), Pasolini Poems (Cy Press, 2005) and There Were
Hostilities (release, 2005). She is the author of Emptied
of All Ships and the forthcoming Hyperglossia (both with
Litmus Press). She is the editor of Gam, coeditor of Instance
Press, and was one of the editors of the "Queering Language"
issue of EOAGH. A new work, Stacy S: Autoportraits, featuring
her self-portraits with accompanying texts by Renee Gladman, Lisa
Jarnot, Kevin Killian, Anne Tardos, David Gatten and others is just
out on OMG Press. She is currently the Artistic Director at the
Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church.

Your love letter can be a letter you've sent
or received, or a letter you'd like to send but can't. The
love can be a fantasy love, desperate love, unrequited love, impossible
love, naive love, frustrated love, absurd love, obsessed love, new
love, fleeting love or lost love.

will be removed for you.

submission form on this site is anonymous. All letters are posted
anonymously, regardless of how they are submitted. Identities
will never be disclosed, even if they are revealed.

selection
Depending on the volume of submissions, approximately 1/4 are
accepted for the collection. Once
selected, the editor will extract a title from your letter based
on the content. Paragraphs may be split up for readability.
New
collections are posted 2-3 times a year. The current collection
is currently being edited, and will be posted in September 2008.
