Cynthia Gray started the Love Letter Collection in 2001 as a public, collaborative exploration of love and desire, and began inviting guest editors in 2005. She is a poet and maintains this ongoing collection alongside other writing projects (see collectiveexperience.org).

Cynthia Gray (working as Cindy Loehr) has exhibited work at Sculpture Center, NY (2009), the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia (2008); The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (2008); Hiromi Yoshii Gallery, Tokyo (2006); The Contemporary, Atlanta (2005), the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (2004); the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (2002), and other venues. She was awarded a Core Program artist residency with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (2003-2005). She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
