SEE THROUGH MY ACTING, PLEASE

You know, I've always been a musician. All my life, from the moment I was able to hold a guitar, I've been a musician. Classically trained, even now, and I love it. The arts have always been my friend. I'm had a sort of romance with them. As an actor and a dancer as well, I've always been a kindred spirit of a stage.

And now here you come, enter into my life. You steal my own show. I was never one for pride, and I hold no contempt upon you. On the contrary, you have become the star of my once dull performances. I wouldn‚t have you in any other place but by my side upon these old stages and pantomimes.

And on the stage upon which I am still the star, you have no doubt infiltrated even my deepest mazes of thought and creation. You brought the passion back into my music. Honestly, I wasn't acting when I, playing a role on the stage, fell in love with you today. That was no character that I played. That was me, simply using the license to act as an opportunity to truly show my affections for you. I am no great actor of love, but a participant all the more.

I only wish that you would see me for more than just the captain I play. For surely, without your love, I am merely a phantom that moves across the world, touching briefly the people and issues I am led to. But without your love, a phantom is all I‚ll ever be. See through my acting, please. That's all I ask. Until then, my angel, I will act, and I will sing, and I will dance, inspired by you, for you, and with you. Until then.
