I love you. Can you feel it? Such a phrase as this has been destroyed over time, and overused. Try to remove yourself from it. Try to remove yourself from how it sounds...because it can't sound as strong to your ears as it feels to my lips to say it. I love you. More than a greeting card, more than a movie ending, more than a page in a book. I love you like the sky loves the sun. I love you like the stars love the moon and the sea loves the shore.

I love you. These words were murdered long ago by Hollywood and television. I speak them as a ghost of what they once were. They were once the reason for living. To say I love you...is something I'll never know. Not because I can't mean it, but because you can't feel it. We've murdered an expression. The expression on which all life depends. God, I wish you could feel it.
