FREE
TO RELIVE OURS
To
my dearest everything,
words of love my letters bring,
songs I know my heart would sing,
if you were with me now.
I sign my name and with it too,
all my love I send to you--
my dearest everything.
We
were school mates--just friends,
sixty years ago. Then came graduation,
I went my way and you went yours;
when we met again, two years ago, both
widowed and lonely, we took up again
where we left off--and then some.
What would've happened
if I had chosen you then?
Well, for one thing, our beautiful
children wouldn't have been born.
But now they have their own lives,
and we're free to relive ours.
Care to take a another chance?
