FOOT OF THE MARBLE

_________,

Do you remember the night you asked me to marry you? I was so unsure of how to feel or what to say I ran. Remember the time we watched to stars outside the church, because we couldn't go inside because they didn't like "our kind"? The times we fought all the people that didn't approve of us getting married, just so that when we finally did get married our parents wouldn't show up. After all we've been through, I began to think we could beat anything. I guess you can't outrun somethings, but we sure as hell put up a fight didn't we.

I lay this at the foot of the marble that bares your name, hoping that you will get the message. I find it hard to sleep at night without you next to me, or to eat dinner without hearing you scrape your fork on the plates like you always did. Most of all, its hard to live without you standing by my side. I guess I'm just trying to say I miss you,

Save me a seat.

Yours truly
