DOESN'T WANT TO MARRY ME

This is a love letter to the man who doesn't want to marry me but whom I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I met you three years ago on some cheesy online dating service. When we first met I didn't think I was your type. You were younger, a skin head looking type with these intense blue eyes and beautiful smile. I am four years older, Asian, with two kids and a bad marriage in my past. I thought we'd up just being friends when we met. But, you pursued me and it's been a wonderful three years thus far.

You've taught me to believe in myself. You've taught me that I am good enough, worthy of love, that I should stand up for myself, be unselfish, make good decisions, be unafraid to ask for what I want.

And, you've made me a believer that there are good people in this world. You are someone who put my happiness first, held patience and forgiveness toward my jealousies and pettiness, showed me generosity.

I love you because you are a good man with a golden heart and I've thanked your folks for raising such a fine person. I love you because you are smart, kind, hard working, honest, and loyal. I thank the Heavens above for sending you my way when I needed you most.

It's okay if you never propose. If we could be this happy forty years from now without a ring I won't complain about the lack of a wedding.

You're the love of my life. Thank you so much for being here for me.
