The way I feel- I can not say

The reason for that is you'll turn away

The feelings inside of me will always be true

I can't express the way I feel for you

For fear of what you may do

Will you stay and feel the same

Or will I be put to shame

I wish I could know who you are

I want to sit and stare at the stars

I want you to know my feelings too

Please put aside your mysterious ways

And live with me for a day

In front of your peers and all the world

You've been a part of me for eight years

Unknowingly making my heart shed tears

I want to be a part of your life

Don't allow an invisible knife

To cut through everything we could be

I know that together we would be happy

The fear that you may fall in love

is not a serpent but a white dove

Open the door to your cage

Don't be afraid I'm not going to hurt you, just make you smile

I'll give you an inch, don't be scared to go the mile

I know you think this is not who you are

What you don't realize is your locked behind bars
