don't give up magnets were created by cynthia gray in 2000 to acknowledge and confront despair in everyday life. They're given away for free by distributors who help fund magnet production. The distributor's name and distribution year are stamped on the back of each magnet to trace distribution. Last year don't give up magnets were featured on oprah.com. Over 11,000 magnets have been distributed to date.
